Quality control

Branell products are designed and approved to South African safety (SABS IEC 60950) and EMI emissions (CISPR 22) standards.

 

Additional standards

Lightning protection is incorporated on the incoming mains connection, approved to EN 61000-4-5 level 4 and units have been tested to additional electromagnetic immunity standards. Telephone lightning protection has been approved to Telkom requirements.

 

Quality management system

To ensure the design and the manufacture of products is of the required standard, Branell operates an ISO9001:2000 quality management system which has been approved by Dekra.

 

Electronic manufacturing standards

IPC- "Association connecting electronics industries" standards are regularly utilised for electronic assembly. Examples of IPC standards:

J-STD-001E: Requirements for soldered electrical and electronic assemblies.

A-610E: Acceptability of electronic assemblies.

Branell operators have been trained and examined to IPC requirements.
